::citer national service::

You don't want to serve your bond with the government. So WHAT? (some might say dengan penuh bongkak....) hmmm.... for me... just give them sometimes laa... sooner or later... the kesedaran will come (insyaallah) and they will come back and serve the country...

Malaysia is not the only country who faces this sort of problem pun.... Ramai lagi professionals from other country... prefer to work in other countries because of certain reasons which hanya depa je yang tahu...

My own brother instead.... dok kat USA tu dah > 11 years.... cam tak de niat pun nak balik.... now he is 40... he has kindda established himself kat sana.... anak dah ada 4... the eldest is doing great dgn his swimming and education wise... always the top student in his school.... masuk lots of competitions.... mainly maths and sciences... and da menang banyak awards.... Question.... as a proud parents.... should they stop there or continue??? Their future might not promises lots of great things but how about their children's future? :)

Apa yang best sangat dok kat oversea sampai some of us tak nak balik n serve the country eh??
and physically.... kenapa if anak2 yang membesar di negara orang tend to be lebih tinggi than anak2 yang dok kat M'sia eh?? Why la???

I know the salary wise.... memang tak bleh nak compete ler.... how about mentality?? or ada certain factors yang lain?? eh, those yang dok keje kat over the sea tu.... share ler your experience... :)

When Cik Pijah and I were in UK... we did keje kat M&S.... best okeh.... naseb baik her sista kawen that year... so, dia kena balik for good... otherwise until la ni pun kami tak balik lagi. hehehe... WHY eh??

for me... i would love to get as many experience as possible.... bila dah established kat sana... balik M'sia.... baru leh praktikkan at a higher lever... *kalau u kat lover level.... jgn harap la ur creatip idea tu ur boss nak dengar... [if you're lucky to have an open minded boss ok laa.. good for you....] tapi some not as lucky as u.... sampai ke tua laaa... dok terima arahan je.... tak leh nak expand ur ideas langsung. hmm.... camne kita nak tukar that mentality eh??

*currently the writer is in her 3rd year of national service to the government! kwang3x.... ;)

oit... enough of merepeks..... n now it is ur turn...!

you are NOT appreciated by your sponsor if you go back with them.. Take me for example, they are giving me a macai work just because they sponsor me. I am not proud or anything, but just because they spent a couple of Euros that doesn't mean that they own you. And I hate that feeling. I rather pay back. And do you know that the companies that sponsor you can get tax redemption?

*sorry.. gua masih lagi bitter nih ngan sponsor gua*

First few months pening2.... everything so slow... then pi klinik.. my doktor cakap... it's either u go out or u just go with the flow... or join them! hahaha

I think 4 years is enough lah.... am the only spesis yang lain kat sini... wonder how I can survive... rasanya degil sangat sampai the CEO himself kena jadik my supervisor? kwang3x....

kalau semua yg terer g keje ngan org, apa jadi ngan malaysia? kalau semua yg pandai dok negara org, apa jadi malaysia?

Hi Bertique!!!

Morning all... :) *lupa nak wish Cik Pijah n Shell tadi. hehehe

U wanna berkenalan with her is it? can...can... ;) bila nak belanje bowling nieh? ahaks.....

My opinion... keje ngn gomen or gomen agency tu adalah national service la bro... gomen servant... ;)

betul gak... peribahasa tu sampai sekarang wa tak faham either.... emas compare to batu.... sah2/obvious sesangat.... emas lagi best. ahaks.... lebeh2 lagi now harga emas pun dah naik! hahaha

Malaysia has a long way to go laaa.... Nak mentality cam negara2 barat lain yang dah capai tahap Renaisson dia berabad2 lamannye... (compared to us yang tahun depan baru 50 tahun merdeka)... aiya... they are not comparing apple to apple laa.... so sad la like that....

Tapi tu ler... we need something to leapfrog.... and the best kementerian tu lead it adalah KTAK! kwang3x...

*tumpang lalu cik solmate*

betik:

I feel most of em politics ppl are selfish. Nak jaga periuk nasi sendiri only. The ones that's trully sayang msia is very few. I think our previous PM is one of them. The new PM is too soon to judge. It's very sad.. I know. Why the Msian company themselves nak hire so called imported experts, while there are locals ones that are equally as good. In my workplace, there alot of experts that was a Malaysian.

I reckon they have one same feeling. Better being treated crap when you get higher dough overseas than being treated crap in your own country.

When will we learn..

*solmate. sorry.. ini sensitip issue nihh..*

Cik Shell::

Silakan lah lalu.... it is ok... if it is a healthy discussion.... sapa berani langkah ini body dulu okeh? ;)

ada 2 contradict statements recently by our ministers... sorang cakap suh balik n serve the bond etc.... and sorang lagi cakap suh dok lama2 skit keja kat oversea to get expertise and networking with the rest of the world etc... *mana satu yang betul ni eh??

I prefer the 2nd one....

tapi kena ada limit ler... and the gomen has to really monitor our brain grains.... sebab duit tu semua duit rakyat. Remember?

ini semua cam melepaskan batuk di tangga... like dulu... masa ada MSC or now MDeC.... konon2 kata M'sia nak thousands of Computer Science grads... berduyun2 ler student2 kita study that thingy... tup2... tak kemana2 pun.... masih ramai lagi yang mengganggur...

So, what happened la?

Minister kita pandai cakap je ke? implementation wise hampeh? hmm.... kaji..kaji... siapa patut kaji nei? hmm....

it's difficult to follow japan since they are not a plural society like ours. here, we have many qualified malaysians but many are discriminated against due to certain govt policies.

you can argue that the policies are required and whatnot and i'll agree.. but to a certain extent.

what we need is meritocracy. seriously.

look at the level of crap in our country. from the govt to the civil service to private sector, many are appointed not due to ability but due to connections. the end product? monkeys running the show everywhere.

anyway, i believe that one should keep one's word. if you signed a contract to come back and serve your bond, do it. after that you can go anywhere you please.

but that's just me lah.

agree with des! (u owe me kopi mahal :D)

cuma, i think loads of country implement meritokrasi in one way of another. sometimes a new set of policies/regulations could be seen as metritokrasi agenda - but then again it depend on how you look at things.

i remember last time, there's like kebanjiran rakyat asing in jepun learning about sumo. and when they started to win major championship, what did the japanese sumo federation did? they banned all foreginers from learning and competing in sumo for 4 years. why? because they want to protect the sumo "way of life" instead of winning championship mentality.

for me, it's a form of meritokrasi :D.

of course, they did open it up back after that. but again, with new ruling. the foreigners now need to learn and understand japanese, japanese culture and start living the sumo way of life - otherwise, they wont be accepted.

err another form of meritocracy, no? but the system do support japanese and japanese speaking only though ..

towards the end, they say that sumo now has changed due the globalisation effect, because it's now being practice by non-japanese. but, actually, the foreigner has been japanisation instead.

oh well, we all have our arguements. we all have our facts. the best part is we all share the same aspirations - for a better malaysia.

that's the destination that we wish for. with our "kenderaan" we should/must reached the destination no matter how soon or late it'll be. i just love this phrase - if it is to be, it is up to me.

right.. change the agent.. from the former one to..? I think Singapore have this conflict too.

buttt.. you are right, betik, if we want to debate, i think this will never end. I believe everyone has choices. They have the right to do anything. nak pi kerja luar, nak lari dari hutang, nak bayar balik student loan.. what ever.. and If they don't feel belong, they can leave. Another note, I have my own opinion and you have yours. Doesn't mean we have to agree with it.

So there.. Have a nice week ahead!

kopi mahal? i'm still waiting for mine from cik pijah.

on the other issue.. the current (i think) sumo champ is american so regardless of whatever some people say, there is meritocracy there.

but here? will we ever see a non malay VC for any of our unis ever again? how about non malay finance minister? IGP? PM?

err.. going for lunch lah..

alamak.... panjang sangat ler camne nak reply one by one eh? hmm....

Cik Bertique...

You really like Japan eh... nak compare M'sia n Japan pun susah gak.... depa 1 bangsa je.... kita ada ramai. and lucky enough kita boleh satukan semua di bawah Barisan Nasional. hmm... ni dah masuk bab politik... rasanya cm terkeluar subjek.

Bila kita boleh jadi cam depa? hmm... maybe 2-3 generasi after us...?
*sbb u did mention pasal change agent rite?

School syllabus kena review.... banyak lagi kena review... jika pengwujudan satu bangsa Malaysia... yang kita hajati.. kenapa perlu kita harus mempunyai banyak skolah2 yang berpaksikan ke arah negara asal sesuatu bangsa yang hidup sejahtera kat Malaysia ni?

Why can't we have only 1 school system.... kita didik mereka ini untuk menjiwai semangat Bangsa Malaysia....

"I'm a Chinese Malaysian, Indian Malaysian or Malay Malaysian"... erkk??.... boleh ke?

At 1:31 pm, Blogger GAM Ida Azerin said...

Haa... sama cam desparil cakap....

real truth.... da ramai gak our professionals yang dok kat oversea >10-15years dah start to balik M'sia slowly....

tapi tu ler.... selagi the top generation yang tak bleh terima cara berfikir orang2 muda ni.... they tend to stay low profile....

nak tukar benda yang dah berabad2 ni will takes time weh... ;)

tapi ada citer lain plak.... orang2 muda ni ramai plak yang tak sabar... (not all la tapi..) tak sabar... semua nye nak cepat kaya. so... national interest tu... jadik no. 2... habuan yang depa carik dulu...

well... susah sebenarnya la ni nak carik ppl macam arwah Tun Ghaffar.... serve the country and fellow malays tanpa minta di balas...

I agree with u oso Desparil..... serve la your country... bukannya lama sangat pun... bukannya gomen suh korang pi berperang pun... (like what the Koreans and Americans do..)nak dapat scholarship... either main sukan or pi berperang... masuk askar...

ni dah la suh pi belajar.... guna duit rakyat... then.... serve la kejab je.. bukannye lama pun.... once u've done ur part kan.... trust me... the feeling is good... cehhhwaahh! :)

At 5:17 pm, Blogger Desparil said...

why cant we have 1 school system? i think it was a trade off.. malays get 'special rights' and the non malays get to have their own schools..

rasanya la.. dah lama tak baca buku sejarah..
